Roos Zwetsloot

Roos Zwetsloot is a young street skateboarder who had the honor of competing in the world’s first-ever Olympic Games in 2021 and placing 5th in the world. She was born in the Netherlands and started skating at 8 years old. There weren’t many girls skateboarding at that time, but Roos loved it. Her dad had taught her the perfect mindset for a skateboarder - “If you believe in yourself, anything is possible, and no one can stop you. If you can see it, you can be it”.

Roos has proven that she is a dominant force in skateboarding who continues to push what’s possible and grow. She skated her first competition in 2016, the Dutch National Championships, where she landed on the podium. She went on to win her first national championship title in 2020. Dec 2021, Roos became the first women to grind the infamous Hollywood 16 rail in Los Angeles, captured and showcased in her first appearance in Thrasher Magazine with the hard earned credits page placement. She is no stranger to the podium and is regularly gunning for 1st alongside the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold medalist.

Roos, who’s signature trick is ‘the heelflip’, enjoys engaging with her fan base on social media showcasing not only her skating, but who she is off her board with physical training and healthy cooking. She also hopes to inspire kids and everyone with that if they believe in something, anything is possible, and that nobody can stop them if they keep chasing their dreams and keep doing what makes them happy.

Roos is an entrepreneur, the founder of Zwettie lifestyle products. She’s also a member of the Dutch Skateboarding Olympic National Team. She thrives when she’s pushing herself and challenging her limits, learning new tricks in the streets, and evolving a style, that over the years has become all her own. She has her eyes set on the gold in Paris 2024 and we can’t wait to see this amazing human and talent drop her next video part and take skateboarding to the next level.
