Samarria Brevard

A certified skateboarding legend, Samarria began her journey at 13, skating with her brother and cousin in their hometown of Riverside, CA.

A rare double threat for both her contest and street skating prowess, Samarria won the Kimberly Diamond Cup World Championship in 2014, and her first X Games medal in 2017 – the only Black woman to ever do so.

In 2020 Samarria was part of the inaugural Olympic Skateboarding team for USA and attended the Summer Olympic Qualifiers. The following year she graced the cover of Thrasher magazine, a near-impossible feat for most pro skateboarders, regardless of gender.

Her peers call her the ‘Humble Warrior’ after her ability to skate big stairs and rails with a fearless ease and blaze a trail through skate culture that encourages others to follow their own skateboarding dreams.
